Realizing that many brood mare owners would prefer to have a supplement that is also of exceptional value for the foals once they begin to eat alongide their mothers, Woody's Futurity Blend 30 was formulated with this in mind. Ideally, Futurity Blend 30 should be used in a custom blended feed to creep feed foals away from the mare feeding area. Creep fed foals are better able to reach their genetic maximum rate of growth, are less likely to get injured when fed creep feed away from the mare feeding area and can withstand the stressors associated with weaning better. The amount of creep feed depends on the milking ability of the mother, the development desired on the foal, the kind of creep feed used, and the economics involved.
Futurity Blend 30 can be used to balance quality home grown feedstuffs to allow the creation of proper rations to address the needs of correct, rapid and genetically synchronized development in foals from nursing to yearling and beyond. Directions for Use
Futurity Blend 30/C is blended especially for those who grow their own grain, or prefer to mix their own rations. Feed as recommended below and adjust to the horses' individual needs and to the quality of hay or pasture available. The amount to be fed will depend upon the variations in size, age, degree of activity, breed, husbandry practices, environment and amount of condition that is desired on the horse.
