Nutritionist Dr. Gary Pusillo Joins Woody's Performance

Gary M. Pusillo holds a BS degree in Animal Husbandry from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture, an MS in Animal Production and a PhD in Animal Nutrition/Production from Iowa State University. He is a registered Feed Microscopist, a Certified Professional Animal Scientist and a Board Certified Member of the American College of Animal Nutrition. He has been the CEO of his own feed company, Director of Nutrition at a premix company, manager of a specialy feed division and currently owns his own specialty products company.
Recognized not only for his work with horses, goats, dogs, calves, pigs, dairy cattle and exotic species, his expertise in direct-fed microbials and nutraceuticals is well recognized throughout the feed industry. His reputation for innovation and cutting-edge formulations are legendary. Dr. Pusillo was the first nutritionist in the country to be licensed to practice on race tracks.
As an aid for Woody's Performance Horse Feed clients, Dr. Pusillo will provide advanced hematology analysis to help estimate ration and supplement effectiveness, pre-race baseline data and post-race blood profiles. We feel that by integrating state-of-the-art hematology data, nutrition, veterinary care, training and mangement, our clients will more closely optimize their horses' genetic potential.
Along with a unique, intense educational background and a wide scope of practical experience, Dr. Pusillo has owned and managed his own farms. Currently, he and his wife, along with their three children, raise purebred Percheron draft horses, with which they farm organically.
